Yippee Adventures Box Review

Yippee Adventures box review

We were kindly sent a box of Yippee Adventure goodies as the result of winning a competition on Instagram.

A small business run by Claire over on Etsy, it provides kids activity boxes for a large range of subjects such as robots, princesses, bugs and space.

We chose a camping theme for our box as we love to camp in all situations. Big tents, small tents, on pitches and even wild camping, so we thought that was the right box for us.

I was pleasantly surprised when the box arrived. It was immaculately packaged with their logo on the front of the box, and when Molly saw it, she rushed over eagerly.

Lets Get Crafting!

We opened the box up to find a number of crafty activities which thrilled Molly to no end. There were large smooth rocks with metallic paint, a drawstring bag to print with animal stencils included, plus more paints. Instructions are included on how to build a small (artificial) camp fire and also shadow puppets. The contents included are all that are needed to make these activities come to life.

Molly got straight to work on the drawstring bag. She used the dabbers provided, but I did cut up a washing up sponge so she could have one for each colour. You know what it’s like when kids mix paint, everything turns out brown!

She used her imagination and used a variety of the colours to get different effects in the animals. The stencils are of a fox, rabbit, squirrel, mushroom and hedgehog.

Painted Rocks

Next she turned her attention to the rocks, and painted one for each of us! Some got a face, others had striped colours, but they all looked well finished and pretty in the end. They’ve actually been given a home in the fairy garden.

Which is also where the camp fire has ended up. We made one initially with the materials given, but the idea has been widened to use rocks and twigs from outside. Now the fairies have a working fire to toast their marshmallows on!

Molly is made up with the bag she made and used it recently to take her dolls on holiday!

Added Extras

In the pack, we also received a wall calendar which can be purchased separately to the boxes, that can be marked off once you’ve done a particular activity. We stuck the stickers on most of them, but now I’m on a mission to fill in the rest! There are 100 activities all together.

Overall, this is a fantastic product to help kids engage in a great spectrum of subjects. It also helped me to interact and bond with Molly, as she needed a bit of help to do some of the exercises.

Please check out Yippee Adventures on Instagram or on Etsy if you wish to purchase a pack!
