HikerKidz Chase Dragons At Shrek’s Adventure

Sometimes, the Hikerkidz walk up mountains. Other times, the Hikerkidz forage through woods. Sometimes, the Hikerkidz swim in rivers. But today, the Hikerkidz chase dragons at Shrek’s Adventure!
We were kindly invited to explore Shreks Adventure in London, which is host to a wonderful 4D experience of the Dreamworks movies.

The experience starts on a magical flying bus, where we inadvertently killed one of Rumpelstiltskin’s favourite witches. The 4D experience saw us flying through the air, feeling the wind through our hair and dodging flying pandas!
We were led along by Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, the Muffin Man and even Puss-In-Boots who helped us find Shrek and escape the wrath of Rumpelstiltskin himself.

The characters are fantastic and got the children and adults involved, with a degree of hilarity. We especially enjoyed the fortune teller.
Unfortunately, we were unable to take any photos through the experience. So, if you want to see what it was like, you will have to go for yourself!

Shreks Adventure is a non-stop moving process that engages the audience and really made us feel like we were on an actual adventure.
At the end, we met the Big Green Man himself. We were able to have a picture and the kids looked up in awe.

Now, for the dragons part!
Shreks Adventure holds a whole host of Dreamworks characters. At the end of the 4D experience, we were able to familiarise ourselves with the cast of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and finally, the Dragon Riders of Berk.
Never mind the kids, I absolutely LOVE the Dragons series, and will be the first to admit I cried my eyes up at the last movie! In the cinemas, in public, and everything!

I rushed to have my photo with the Night Fury and willed him to be real!
Alas, it was not meant to be, so I settled for a teddy instead!
The kids enjoyed interacting with the photo opportunities. Molly had a go at some Kung Fu moves with Po, while Finley and his dad tried some circus tricks with Marty!
The Verdict.
The 4D experience continued right until the last minute, where a baby Shrek sneezed on me on the way out!
Molly who practically clung to me the whole way through, exclaimed that she really liked the ‘nice’ witch at the end!

Oliver beamed about the whole thing all the way back to the train station. And Finley was made up about meeting Shrek and having his picture with him.

We aren’t usually city dwellers, but at times we do venture to the big smoke and visit a few attractions. Along with Shrek’s Adventure, there is Sea Life London, Madame Tussauds and the London Eye. We would definitely combine the attractions and take advantage of the offer that Shrek’s Adventure run on their website. We would make a weekend out of it, for sure!
Let me know if you have been to Shrek’s Adventure. If not, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets now!

It looks great there. My daughter loved the Shrek movies and we used to have to put the DVD on for her all the time when she was little. We are close to London so we need to go and try this out.
You should. if your daughter likes Shrek, she would love it there!
I am planning on taking my little two to London next year and I think they would love this, it looks like great fun for Shrek fans x
It is indeed. I would recommend combining it with a few other attractions, if you do manage to go.
Looks like everyone had a great time and you all really enjoyed yourself. I would have loved doing things like this as a kid!
The kids had a blast. Certainly a different experience to most places.
This looks like so much fun and what a great day out for the family. It’s something we’d love to do one day.
It is great fun!
This looks like a great place to visit. Looks like you all had a great time.
We did, thank you.
We’ve done this and it’s a lot of fun. Well worth a visit for Shrek and Dragon fans!
I agree!
We went to Shrek’s Adventure last week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My son is a huge Toothless and Hiccup fan and loved seeing Puss in Boots too.
Puss in boots was great! He looked so realistic too.
We have been before when the kids were younger, they really liked it. My hubbie even got roped into one of the show elements which the kids thought was funny! x
Oh brilliant! Did he have fun?
We’ve been meaning to go here for years but never got round to it. As soon as I get to London with the kid’s I’ll be going. It looks fab!
Let me know what you think!
